Kheema Mutter & Potato's Curry || Lamb Mince, Peas and Potato's Curry || Rumana's UK Kitchen

It doesn’t matter you have enough ingredients in your pantry or not. When you crave for good Indianmeal, then you’ll make it no matter what 😜this was our dinner last night kheema mutter, along with Roti and salad..xx

Ingredients.
250 gram lamb kheema (mince)
1 cup green peas (mutter)
2 large chopped potato's
1 large chopped onion
1/2 can tomato's or 2 large chopped tomato's
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp garam masala
1/2 tsp mutton masala (optional)
1 tsp kasuri methi (dry fenugreek leaves)
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1 green cardamom
2 cloves
1/2 inch cinnamon stick
1 bay leaves
Salt to taste
Oil as required. xx

Potato And Green Peas Gravy (Pressure Cooker Version)

This year has been very lucky to me, because i have been travelling alot to attend weddings. This is not the end i have one more wedding coming up in April and i don't no how many will come up in future. It feels good when you meet alot of people and do more and more shopping but i feel pity for my husband :) On 18th of feb he went to London for a week and the next day we went to faizabad to attend my SIL wedding. The wedding was very very grand and beautiful that was the first wedding i attended in north India. Usually people says north Indian wedding are very grand and beautiful.. YES they are right. These days were tiring but very enjoyable...


Ingredient's
2 cup green peas
3 potato cut into medium sized pieces
2 onion, 3 tomato, 3 green chillies
2tbs red chilly powder, 1/2tbs turmeric
1tbs garam masala, 1tbs coriander powder
1tbsp ginger garlic paste
1tbs cumin seeds
Oil and Salt as per taste
Copped coriander leafs for garnishing


Cooking Method
In a pressure cooker, add oil, when it is hot add cumin seeds, when they splutter, add onion, and green chillies fry it to golden brown. Then add all the masala powder and ginger garlic paste and fry for 5 to 6 minutes, then add tomato's and fry till it starts leaving oil. Now add green peas, potato and salt, mix them all together nicely and add 3 cup of water, close the lid and cook for 3 whistle (1 in high flame 2 in low flame) Garnish with chopped coriander leafs and Serve hot with Rice and Roti.

Palak Biryani (Spinach Rice) Pressure cooker version

I'm back from my long holidays!!! After so many days i'm writing my blog again and i'm not having any idea what should i write, this happens with me every time when ever i give a long gap in my blog writing then i will not know only what to write. After a long holiday i'm feeling lazzy to cook some different dishes except dal and rice. I had this recipe in my waiting list from a long time, i think now the time has come to post this Palak Briyani recipe. Since i'm not cooking any other dishes..


Ingredient's
3 cups of shredded spinach
1 cup basmati rice
1/2cup mutter, 1/2cup chopped beans
1 large onion, 2 green chillies, 1 large tomato (sliced thin)
1tsp red chilli powder, 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
2 tsp coriander powder, 2tsp ginger garlic paste
2 bay leafs, 1 green cardamom, 2 dry red chillies
Oil and Salt to taste


Cooking Method
Wash and keep the rice aside with 2 cup of water. In a pressure cooker add oil, when the oil is hot add bay lefas, dry red chillies and cardamom, when they turn brown, add onion and green chillies and fry to golden brown, then add all the masala powder, ginger garlic paste and tomato, cook for 3 to 4 minutes. Now add the green peas, beans, spinach, rice and salt. mix them all together and add 2cup of water. and close the lid and cook for 3 whistle (1 in high flame 2 in low flame)
Serve hot with Raita.

Mutter Paneer (Peas & Cottage Chees)



Ingredients:
500 gms paneer cubed
200 gms shelled peas
2 large onions, 3 medium tomatoes, 2 green chillies chopped fine
1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
1 tsps coriander powder, 2 tsps garam masala, 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
6 tbsps of oil
1 1/2 cups water
Salt to taste
Coriander leaves chopped fine to garnish


Cooking Method
Grind onions into a fine paste in a food processor. Keep aside. Next grind tomatoes into fine paste and keep aside. Heat 2-3 tbsps of oil in a pan and gently stir-fry the cubes of paneer till golden. Remove onto a paper towel and keep aside. In the same vessel heat 2-3 tbsps of oil and add the onion paste. Fry till it turns light brown. Add tomato paste, ginger and garlic paste and fry for another 2 minutes. Add the coriander, turmeric and garam masala powders, green chillies and fry, stirring continuously till the oil begins to separate from the masala. Add the peas to the masala and fry for 2-3 minutes. Then add the paneer, water and salt, reduce flame to a simmer and cook till the gravy thickens.
Garnish with coriander leaves and serve.
Mutter paneer tastes great with parathas, naans and even jeera rice.

Mushroom & Mutter Gravy



Ingredient's
1 1/2 cups green peas (Mutter)
200gms mushrooms
2 onions, 3 tomatoes, 3 green chillies, finely chopped
2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
1 tbsp - Chilli powder
1 tbsp - Coriander powder
1 tsp - Turmeric
1 tsp - Garam masala powder
Oil and Salt as per req



Cooking Method
Wash and cut the mushrooms into medium piece. Heat oil in pan and add onions and green chillies fry till golden brown. Add ginger garlic paste and cook for 1/2 a minute.Add tomatoes and cook till oil leaves the sides. AddChilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric, garam masala, salt and cook for 2 minutes. now add the mutter and cook for 3 to 4 minutes or till the masala soaks in to mutter, then add mushroom and mix it well and check for the salt. Now add water as required. cook till the peas are fully cooked. Once done, Garnish with some coriander leafs. Now mushroom mutter gravy is ready to serve.
Serve with rice or roti.

Aaloo Mutter Chat

This is a very simple and easy recipe. And it goes very well with plain paratha's, i can say this recipe is my hubby's favorite by smelling it only he says ohh mutter chaat. I cook this chaat specially on weekends so that he can eat peacefully. Who don't want to eat favorite food on weekends :)



Ingredient's
1 large potato, cut in to small pieces
2 cup boiled Mutter
1 medium onion, 2 green chilli, and 2 tomatoes, finely chopped
Ginger garlic paste 1tbsp
Coriander leaves 1/2cup
Chilli powder 1tsp, coriander powder 2tsp, Garam masala 1/2tsp
Turmeric powder 1/4tsp, mustard seeds 1/2tsp
Chat masala 1/4tsp
10 curry leafs
Salt to taste
Water as req.

Cooking Method
Heat a pressure cooker and add oil, mustard seeds, and curry leafs, when they splutter, add onion and green chilli, saute to golden brown then add ginger garlic paste,tomatoes,chilli powder,coriander powder,garam masala, turmeric powder,salt and cook for 3 to 4 minutes.Then add potato and mutter, mix it well then add chaat masala and water. Then close the pressure cooker lid and cook for 3 to 4 whistle. Remove from heat and garnish it with coriander leaves.
Serve with Plain Paratha's.

Palak Mutter Gravy (Spinach and Green Peas Gravy)

Palak Mutter is a nutritious spinach and green peas sabji. Palak Mutter is loved by people all over. It is not that difficult to prepare palak mutter at home. Just follow these easy steps and prepare a truly nutritious and delicious spinach and green peas sabji. I had tried combination of spinach and mutter to create a new taste and it turned out so good.. Hope every one like's it ;-)



Ingredient's
1 cup boiled mutter
500g chopped palak (spinach)
1 onion chopped
3 red or green chillies
1/2tbsp musturd seeds
1/2tbsp cumin seeds
1/2tbsp turmeric
4 cloves garlic finely chopped
4 dry red chillies
Oil 4tbsp
Salt to taste


Cooking Method 1
In a broad pan, add 2tbsp oil, when the oil is hot, add cumin seeds, 2 dry red chillies and 3/4 of chopped garlic, fry it golden brown
Add chopped onion and turmeric. fry it for 1minute, now add 3/4 of chopped green chilly, Palak, and salt, mix all together and cook it for 10 miuntes
After cooking allow palak sabji to cool it down for 5 to 10 minutes
Then grind the palak sabji to smooth paste.


Cooking Method 2
In a deep frying pan, add 2tbsp oil, Musturd, 2 dry red chillies, when they splutter, add the left over chopped garlic and green chilly, fry it for 30sec
Now add boiled mutter and salt, cook it for 1minute
Then add palak paste and 4tbsp of water, mix all together, cook for another 7 to 8 minutes
Keep stirring in between so that it will not stick to the pan.
Add 1tbsp of Ghee before serving
Serve with Roti, Nan, Paratha's.

Mushroom Biryani (Pressure Cooker Version)

I just made few changes in the method of preparation. It came out so yummy that my husband enjoyed and asked me to prepare it again for this weekend. I have never tried biryani in this style. I can bet you this is the best mushroom biryani I ever had,and very easy to cook also. Here you go…



Ingredients
200 gms Mushroom, 1/2cup mutter, and 1/2 carrot chopped
4 cup Basmati Rice, pinch of food color
2 Onions,3 Tomatoes, 4 Green chillies, Mint leaves finely chopped
2 tsp Ginger garlic paste
3 Cardamoms
1-1/2 tsp Chilly Powder, 1 tsp turmeric, 1 tsp garam masala,3 tsp Coriander Powder
3 bay leaves and 4 dry red chillies
1 Lemon, 1/2cup curd
3/4 cups Oil/ghee
Salt to taste 


Cooking Method
Clean, wash and soak the rice for 1 hour in enough water taken in a pot and add the pinch of food color.Trim mushrooms into big pieces and keep it aside.
Heat oil in a pressure cooker and add bay leaves and red chillie, when they turn into brown, add onion and green chillies sautee to golden brown, Than add all the masala powder and fry till oil seprates, now add chopped tomato, lemon and curd fry till tomatos are soft, then add the mushroom, mutter, carrot and little salt fry for 2 to 3 minutes. Then add the rich and mix it gentely and close the lid, and cook for 3 whistle (1 in high flame, 2 in low flame)
Serve hot with rita..

Soya Chunks Biryani (Pressure Cooker Version)

Soya biryani is a protein rich biryani recipe with the soya chunks cooked and then added to rice along with whole spices and garam masala powder.. This was my first attempt to cook the soya chunks biryani and it turned out as usual very tasty. I was not even prepared to cook this biryani but just because of my S-I-L i cooked this biryani. Even i was also thinking that our breakfast and lunch is being repeated again and again,so when i opened my draw i saw a pack of Nutarila soya chunks so i thought why not to give a try in soya chunk only. First i thought to prepare paluo and finally finished with biryani... And it was very tasty and very healthy too..



Ingredient's
2 cup of soya chunks
1/2kg basmati rice
2 cup of all veggie's (mutter, gobi, potato, carrot) cut in to small pieces
2 onion, 3 green chillies, 3 tomatos, finely chopped
1/2cup curd, 3tbsp of lemon juice
1tbsp red chillies powder, 1tbsp turmeric, 1tbsp coriander powder
1 cardamom , 3 tej pata, 3 dry red chillies
Oil and Salt as per taste




Cooking Method
Soak the soya chunks in water for 20 minutes, Then in a pressure cooker add oil, red chillies, tej pata and cardamom , after 20 sec, add onion and green chillies fry to golden brown, add all the masala powder, and fry 5 minutes then add tomato, curd and lemon juice and cook for another 5 to 10 minutes, Now add the soya, all the veggies and salt, then allow the veggies to soak the masala and then finally add the rice and water as per required, and cook for 3 whistle, 1 in high flame and 2 in low flame.
Serve hot with Raita.

Mutter Rice (Pressure cooker Version)

Mutter pulav is a famous Indian recipe for rice and peas. Almost every cuisine and country has a version – this is one of the tastiest.


Ingredient's
2 cup basmati rice 
1 cup fresh or frozen mutter 
1/2 tbsp turmeric, 1/2 tbsp coriander power, 1/2 tbsp garam masala 
1 onion, 4 chillies, 2tbsp of coriander leafs, chopped finely 
Oil and Salt as per taste 
Water as per req's.

Cooking Method
In a pressure cooker add oil, when its hot add onion and green chillies, sauté for 3 to 4 minutes 
Then add all the masala powders, mutter and little bit of salt fry for another 2 minutes 
After that add the washed basmati rice and water, salt, close the lid and allow 2 whistles in a medium flame. 
Serve hot with Dal and Rita.

Vegetable Noodles



Ingredient's
Any Noodles of your choice,1 packet
Onion, or Spring onion, thinly sliced
2 green chillies, 1 tomato, finely chopped
2tbsp chopped coriander leafs
1 small Carrot, 1 medium Capsicum, 1 Potato, chopped lengthwise
Green Peas – 1/4 cup
Cut Gobi (Cauliflower) 1/2 cup
1/2tbsp turmeric, 1/2tbsp coriander powder, 1/2tbsp musturd seeds
Salt to taste
Oil, as reqired
Pepper Powder, as required

Cooking Method
Boil the Noodles with a little salt and 1 tsp oil, till it is almost cooked. Drain and allow it to cool. Boil green peas for 4minutes and keep aside. Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a pan and add musturd seeds, onions, green chillies, turmeric, and saute till translucent. Add carrots, potato, gobi, and tomato, and stir fry for around 5-7 minutes till it almost cooked but crispy. and keep it aside. Next, heat 1 more tbsp of oil in a pan, add capsicum, boiled green peas with little bit of salt and stir for a few minutes. Then add the cooked noodles, coriander leafs and combine everything gently. Season with salt and pepper. Fry the noodles on medium-flame for another 2 minutes. You can sprinkle some more pepper powder. Garnish with Coriander leafs, or Spring onion. Serve hot hot with Tomato Sauce. Vegetable noodles are ready to serve.
